 Service Technician / Shipping & Receiving – Home Medical Equipment

Comfort Mobility Inc. is a family owned and operated rehabilitation equipment dealer serving seniors and people with disabilities in Windsor and Surrounding. Our focus is on customer service, before and after a sale.

Position Summary

Service and repair of power and manual wheelchairs, scooters, and related mobility equipment

Make recommendations regarding the extent of repairs and suggest methods of improvement

Setup of new equipment and inspect for quality and accuracy

Assist Sales Representatives in service calls, primary set-up of custom equipment if required, assist in identifying equipment repairs/modifications

Delivery and Pick up of equipment including but not limited to wheelchairs, scooters, hospital beds, lifts, walkers, etc

Work to resolve safety concerns regarding equipment/products and bring to the attention of the Occupational Therapist/Director of Care and/or Sales Representative

Responsible for organization and cleanliness of warehouse

Receiving all equipment off trucks and entering information into our inventory system

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

Strong mechanical background including electrical and electronic

Ability to communicate effectively with members of a healthcare team

Ability to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment

Some knowledge of various disabilities and their functional limitations

Full G License required with good drive record

Ability to drive Service Van to deliver and set up equipment

Ability to lift 50lbs

High School Diploma required
​Degree in Kinesiology, Nursing, or Occupational Therapy an asset but not required

Computer skills an asset

Front Store Customer Service Representative

Position Summary
Responsible for acting as a liaison for Comfort Mobility. Assisting clients with product information, services provided, orders, errors, account questions, billing, scheduling appointments and more. In-Store representative capable of supplying clients with detailed product knowledge relating to their medical requirements.

Primary Responsibilities
Answer phone calls, schedule service appointments and in-store appointments
Greet clients warmly and ascertain problem or reason for calling.
Provide prompt, accurate and courteous responses to clients to resolve their issues quickly and effectively. Display active listening and superior customer service skills for both external and internal clients.
Collect client information, medical history and payment information and enter into Assyst Point of Sale System.
Assist with placement of orders for clients and sales representative’s clients.
Assist with Coordination of Rentals including preparation of equipment, data entry, and payment collection.
Advise on company information including but not limited to hours of operation, directions to location, products, and services available, funding information available (ADP, direct billing to Green Shield, ODSP, WSIB, Veteran’s, etc.)
Assist with entering Sales Representatives quotes into POS system, confirming client insurance coverage, checking applications for funding to insure accuracy.
Suggest solutions when product malfunctions, handle warranty recalls or replacements.
Sell products and services to clients by phone or in-store.
Maintaining show room inventory and cleanliness.

Job Requirements

Experience in Customer Service and/or Sales
Ability to multi-task and stay organized
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Communication Skills and experience working on a team
Exceptional computer skills, experience working with Word, Excel, Outlook.
Reliable transportation to and from work daily
